Alchemize sign to Year Of The Rat Records

UK, 17th July 2024 Alchemize is a 4 piece R&B/metal fusion band from Manchester. The band have only released one track to date ‘Mixed Signals’ but have already landed official Spotify playlisting, BBC Radio 1 airplay and played sold out headline shows as well as sharing stages with Defects and Black Coast. The band will release new single ‘Weight In Gold’ on the 19th July 2024 and announce signing to UK label Year Of The Rat Records (Lastelle, SAVE US, Kite Thief) – With plenty of new music to come the band will quickly establish themselves in the UK metal circuit.

Adam Kenyon – “We started writing after playing around with a synth intro, that then progressed and built up to a surge of emotion with intense melodies. We wanted to go from a sad feeling to a hopeful one using changes in the music, showing a journey of dealing with anxiety and depression. The song is about realising that these struggles help us grow and towards the end, there’s a bit of hope in the darkness, suggesting things will get better after a long period of struggle.
