RinRin is the musical project of Filipino-born and Australian-based singer-songwriter and guitarist Qarin Hipe.

BLACK ORCHID EMPIRE create huge, memorable rock music that combines heavy-hitting savagery with intense melodic beauty. Their technical, fearlessly complex grooves and gigantic sing-along choruses have already earned them a widespread fanbase. A ferociously tight live band, BLACK ORCHID EMPIRE have toured Europe and the UK extensively, supporting Skunk Anansie, HED P.E, INME, Cellar Darling and Black Map as well as festival slots at Download, Standon Calling, Tech Fest, Teddy Rocks and Planet Rockstock. Following on from album releases with Long Branch Records and Season Of Mist, the band now sign with Year Of The Rat Records (Save Us, Lastelle, Kite Thief) and release the first single ‘Angelfire’ on the 7th February 2025 ahead of their upcoming UK tour.

Alchemize is a 4 piece R&B/metal fusion band from Manchester. The band have only released one track to date ‘Mixed Signals’ but have already landed official Spotify playlisting, BBC Radio 1 airplay and played sold out headline shows as well as sharing stages with Defects and Black Coast. The band will release new single ‘Weight In Gold’ on the 19th July 2024 and announce signing to UK label Year Of The Rat Records (Lastelle, SAVE US, Kite Thief) - With plenty of new music to come the band will quickly establish themselves in the UK metal circuit.

In their short time as a band, LOVELOST have seen support from Kerrang, Amazing Radio, RTE2XM, Primordial Radio, Distorted Sound Magazine, Dreambound, TotalRock, Idioteq.com, Independent Music Insider, Already Heard, Riot Vision, ASBO Magazine and many other top publications. Following on from their debut singles ‘Burnbright’ and ‘Pour The Salt In’ the band will now release ‘Pulling At Threads’ on 17th May 2024 on label Year Of The Rat Records.

LOVELOST are a quartet from the South West, UK. LOVELOST intertwines the nostalgic essence of old-school emo music with a modern twist, carving a unique space within the alternative rock scene by creating a refreshing yet emotive experience.

SAVE US sign to Year Of The Rat Records and release their debut single 'New Light'

In Fear recently signed to UK label Year Of the Rat Records, and the new single ‘The Blinding White’ is released on the 20th January 2023. The single continues the next phase for the band, where the band will release a brand new track every 2 weeks leading up to the album release. Over the cycle the band have already had support from BBC Radio 1, Knotfest, Rock Sound, Metal Hammer, Kerrang Radio, Prison Radio, Moshville Times, Total Rock Radio, Idobi Howl and many other respected publications as well as official playlist support from Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Deezer, Napster and Pandora.

Midgar release their new EP 'Warrens' which features a new single, and 3 re-imagined tracks from the album Unity.

‘Kijo’ is the final single the band will release on the 8th October, ahead of the EP release ‘ONI//KIJO’ on the 12th November 2021.

UK alt-metal band Memorist have announced they will release their debut EP entitled 'ONI//KIJO' via Year Of The Rat Records on the 12th November 2021.

Memorist have released a new single with visualiser via Dreambound and Metal Injection and the track will be out on all streaming platforms on the 6th August.

Lastelle perform live at St Mary's Church and announce new tour dates. The live video was premiered with the Youtube channel Dreambound and is now available to watch back.

MEMORIST will release their first single on Year Of The Rat Records on July 9.  Titled "The Empiric", the single is influenced by the likes of Deftones, Northlane and Hans Zimmer, and is a calling card to the industrial, synthesiser-laced sound that they have strived to achieve since the roaring success of their initial three singles. 

MEMORIST - so named due to frontman Jon's inability to forget - are a six-piece alternative metal outfit that craft powerful emotional journeys for the listener, through Jon's personal experiences and perceived injustices.

Midgar became the third band to join Year Of The Rat Records last year, joining Lastelle and The Young Hearts on the labels roster. Previous singles ‘We Don’t Make The Rules’ ‘Sunburn’, ‘Nemesis’, and ‘Paradise’ all picked up a plethora of coverage with Kerrang Radio as ‘Featured Artist Of The Week’, RTE2XM, Amazing Radio, Alyx Plays Punk, Endeavour FM, BT TV, Moshville Times, ERB Magazine, Gig Radar, Crowd Salat, ARFM, Hardbeat and Total Rock Radio, as well as landing official playlisting with Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, Deezer and Pandora. The album is out 25th June 2021 with the focus track ‘Isle Of Glass’ - Isle Of Glass is a much softer ballad type track and shows the band’s more vulnerable side.
